Description
The MSV Racing ’87-’01 CR500 “Mondo” Coil is the modern high-performance upgrade to your OEM ignition coil.
After testing 5 different ignition coils, we finally found an upgraded ignition coil that we feel is worthy of the mighty CR500.
Our coil provides a 30% stronger spark than the OEM coil. This stronger spark can aid in starting, crispen up jetting, provide better throttle response, and offer more torque and horsepower by burning the A/F mix in your combustion chamber more efficiently.
Our dyno testing showed a nice boost in torque and hp where you need it most!
(To make this high-performance upgrade coil plug-n-play for the CR500 we added a small billet aluminum extension bracket for 80mm on center coil mounting and soldered pig tail with bullet connector)

I tried the Mondo Coil because I thought I might have weak spark. This coil certainly helped with starting and seat of the pants it felt like my bike pulled harder!

First impressions after firing up was a very stable idle. Immediately noticed a crisper throttle response and on the pipe the 5oh puts out a more distinctive bark.
Id recommend giving one a go if your sitting on the fence deciding

my original stator seemed weak and I was on a budget. After talking with jason he recommended the mondo coil to help the stator until i could afford the faraday stator the spark is stronger then before and the bike starts easier
